The picturesque region of Lochaber is located in the Scottish Highland. This region offers lots of opportunities for adventures and activities for all four seasons. You could not have a holiday in Lochaber without taking a trip on the Jacobite Steam Train. Or at least get a photograph. You can take the scenic journey on the steam train from Fort William to Mallaig. This offers splendid views of Loch Shiel from the famous viaduct at Glenfinnan. On the ground, take time out at the Glenfinnan Monument and take in the history of the Jacobite Rising and admire the views.

Visit Lochaber, from the heights of Ben Nevis and the Nevis Range, to the nearby Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge. The rolling landscape and woodlands are teaming with wildlife, there is a walk or climb for everyone.
The drive to Ardnamurchan Lighthouse is an amazing journey and should be part of holiday. You can also take in a walk along the beach to Castle Tioram. When the tides out walk the sandbank to the castle ruin and enjoy the splendid scenery in various directions. Lochaber is a region of Scotland that is easy to get too, and easy to fall in love with.
